Electro Dry Needling in Denver

Dry Needling Electrical Stimulation Therapy.

What Does Electro Dry Needling Do?

Dry Needling Electric Stimulation or DNES is another way to get a tight muscle to relax. Instead of taking the needle out immediately after inserting it, needles are left in a muscle and a small current is ran through the muscle making it contract and relax. Many times this will actually feel more comfortable than getting the muscle to twitch by needling the same muscle repeatedly, but the number of locations will be limited in one treatment. It does not cost more for Electro Dry Needling, and if you prefer this style, just let us know!

Relax Tension

Dry Needling Electrical Stimulation DNES is a great way to get muscles to relax. A small current is sent to a precise location in the muscle to get it to contract and relax. This can help when normal Dry Needling isn't working.

Recover Faster

When the muscles contract and relax with DNES, it also helps to get lactic acid and other metabolic wastes out of the muscle more quickly. The result is the muscle recovers faster. This reduces post workout soreness and DOMS.

Improve Circulation

Dry needling helps to improve circulation. Adding E-Stim makes this happen even better. The rhythmic contract and relax literally pumps blood in to the muscle. This brings with it oxygen and other nutrients the muscle needs to thrive.

Does Dry Needling with Electrical Stimulation Work?

Absolutely!  Most find that the DNES or using E-Stim can be more comfortable that normal Dry Needling.  It is a way to get a muscle or specific location in the muscle to contract and relax.  This way to don’t have to keep poking it repeatedly.  It can also be more effective in bring fresh blood and nutrients to the site.  The down side is we can only to 1-2 muscles at a time and generally will only to one location or area in a single treatment.

FAQs

Yes.  Dry Needling can focus on a more percise location than TENS.  Especially if we are trying to hit a deeper muscle, with a TENS unit you have to turn it up to try and get it to hit the correct spot.  With Electro Dry Needling, we can target the specific muscle or location within the muscle to get it to release.

We are located at 1073 S Pearl St Denver CO 80209.  We are in the Denver Wash Park neighborhood on South Pearl Street.

Most people find it more comfortable than normal Dry Needling.  It can be a little weird having a muscle twitch, or move without making it move yourself. It is also important to make sure we are targeting the correct location.

This is mostly dependent on if it is a chronic or acute injury, and the overall health of the person coming in.  Our treatments are focused on helping the body to heal itself.  Staying well hydrated, getting proper nutrition, and keeping proper form with exercise or activity will be vital to achieving the best outcomes.

Results can be permanent.  We need to make sure the body is getting the proper nutrients it needs, and that whatever caused the injury in the first place is removed or modified.  Outside of that we expect results to stay.
