Trigger Point Dry Needling
Trigger Point (TrP) Dry Needling uses thin, sterile, single use needles inserted into the muscle to try and illicit a local twitch response (ltr). For most people this sounds intimidating, but it usually is quite tolerable. You will feel a light pinch at the beginning, then a little pressure or dullness, then the muscle will twitch or do a quick contraction.

Release TrP Knots
Muscle knots are also referred to as trigger points (TrP). Dry needling is an effective way to release these knots. It helps to reduce pain and improve athletic performance.

Increase Circulation
When dry needling is applied to muscles, the first thing that happens is blood is brought back to the area. This also brings fresh oxygen and nutrients which the muscles need to heal and perform at their best.

Perform Better
When a muscle is tight or knotted, it cannot perform well. By releasing the trigger point and getting oxygen and nutrients to the muscle, it will be able to do it’s job superbly!
*If you are working with a lawyer and being treated on a lien basis, billing insurance, or worker’s comp, treatments will be billed at the regular price. If you are able to pay for the treatment at the time of service, you are eligible for the TOS Discount which offers significant savings. This is due to the fact that legal cases can take years to resolve, and insurance and worker’s comp automatically reduce payments to a fraction of what is billed.
How Does it Work?
Trigger Point Dry Needling is used to release tight, bound up muscle tissue. Most people refer to this as a “muscle knot”. It is an area within the muscle that is not acting normally and causing pain. It can also restrict range of motion and change normal movement patterns. That is why this therapy is so beneficial to athletes. Athletes push their bodies to the limit and sometimes the body is not able to fully recover before the next workout or event. Dry Needling provides the means for these tight bands of muscles to relax, thereby restoring normal muscle function and mobility.
